From 1696 until his death in 1701 author was the pastor of the English trade representation stationed in Aleppo. With this work, he was the first to write about Baalbeck and Palmira as an English traveler. Contains 15 copper engravings (9 unfolding). Contemporary ornately gilt leather binding. Fine, clean copy.
