Have you been looking for a work of art, book, or other antiques for a long time without success?
Try Axioart’s Artwork Monitor service!

If there is an artwork, book, or antique that you would like to acquire but can’t find it, Axioart’s Artwork Monitor service could help you!

After signing in, you can enter your search term into ’My Artwork Monitor’ under the ’My Axioart’ menu. The service constantly monitors the title and description of every single lot in every catalogue newly uploaded to Axioart. If a search term You’ve set comes up, you will be notified immediately.

How to use the Artwork Monitor?

  1. Register or sign in on the website.
  2. After signing in, select the ’My Axioart’ menu, then select ’My Artwork Monitor’.
  3. Enter a new search term. Click on the term and search for your sought item if you have not yet checked its availability on the website.
  4. If the search is successful, you will get a list with all currently available lots matching your enquiry. From the moment you set the ’Artwork Monitor’, you will be instantly notified via email if an item gets uploaded that matches your search term/terms.
  5. You can always delete a search term from your ‘Artwork Monitor’ list if you have acquired the item or no longer wish to be notified by us.

SET ARTWORK MONITOR!

What can you do if there are no matches to your search term?

This can have multiple reasons:

  • The item you are looking for is currently not available on Axioart. In case it appears, we will notify you immediately via e-mail.
  • The spelling of the item’s name might differ from your search term. Please try to refine or specify the search term as much as possible.

  • Tips for choosing the right keywords:
  • If you are searching for a SPECIFIC item and know the name of the creator and the name of the item, enter the search terms like this: Cholnoky Jenő (artist’s name) Balaton (name of the artwork).

  • KEYWORDS: It is advised to specify the Artwork Monitor’s search terms for an item. For example, if you are looking for Rippl Rónai’s late pastel works, enter the following keywords: Rónai (or Rippl-Rónai), pastel.

  • If you are looking for items from SEVERAL creators, enter the keywords into separate Artwork Monitors. E.g., “vaszary jános”, “farkas molnar”, or “kassak lajos”. Always leave a single space between names! There will be no results otherwise.

  • CORRECT SPELLING: Please pay attention to spelling the names of artists, items, and other keywords correctly. If you are unsure about how the name is spelled, add a separate Artwork Monitor for the different spelling variations. For example: “Károly”, “Károlyi”, “Würtz”. When in doubt, enter the beginning of the word: “Würt” or “Széch” for “Széchenyi”, and you will get the matching lots.

  • MULTIPLE WORDS OR CHARACTERISTICS: If you are looking for a term that contains two or more words, put the specific words or abbreviations into quotation marks like this: “A cs. és kir. 82. székely gyalogezred története 1883-1919”. If there are two or more words in the title or description, simply leave a single space between them.

  • TOO UNSPECIFIC SEARCH TERMS: The type of item (painting, book, gold, medal, sculpture etc.) and its era and style description (baroque, XXI. century, contemporary etc.) seldom appears in the title or in the description, therefore we advise to use the specific search engine instead if you are looking for items in a broad category. Unlike with the Artwork Monitor, in our search engine you can specify the medium and era among other parameters.

We wish You a pleasant time browsing and success with bidding and buying on Axioart!
