[Amsterdam] Amstelaedami, 1700. Franciscus Halma. 1 t. (rézmetszetű díszcímlap) + [16] + 260 + [14] p. + 16 t. (rézmetszet, ebből 4 kihajtható). First edition. Account of the travels of Jacob Tollius Dutch doctor and alchimist in 1687 in six parts. Tollius travelled extensively in Austria, Hungary, Germany and Italy, but before he could have published his travel experiences written in letter forms, he died young, and his friend, Henrich Christian Henninius got the text published. Illustrated with 16 copper engravings (6 are views of Hungarian towns, 4 folding), and inset engravings, headings, initials. The second work contains the first edition of the literary works of five significant early Christian authors, and publishes the Latin translations along the Greek original text. Contemporary vellum, painted page edges, minor damages on the spine. Wide margins, fine clean copy.
