Amsterdam, 1784-1785. ny. n. XI + 203 p.; [2] + 220 p.; [4] + 180 p.; [4] + 152 p. Four volumes bound in two, the other work is bound at the end of the fourth volume. The author s father, András Tóth, served the French king as hussar officer and eastern diplomat after the fall of the Rákóczi s freedom fight. Baron Francois Tott also excelled in this career and completed several successful diplomatic missions mainly on the territory of the Ottoman Empire. He was credited with the enforcement of the Dardanelles and the Bosporus, the reform of the Turkish artillery and the French military expedition plan into Egypt. Uniform, contemporary leather binding, gilt spine. Minor wear on the spine, minor damages.
