With poetical inscription on title page: "Üres parton üres csónak, / nefelejtsek locsolódnak. / Tág a világ, mint az álom, / mégis elfér egy virágon. Pataky Ferinek szeretettel Weöres Sándor. 1950. nov. 6."
Weöres' remembrance of the poem's birth is described here: "In 1947, in Rome, the following stanza was written - not about Italy but remembering the Hungarian Rába bank, which floated like a dream among the sights of Italy". It was published in print in 1948 in the journal "Diárium" as the fourth piece of "Intonációk". Later, it was published independently titled "Pára" and was also included in his poetical work titled "Ha a világ rigó lenne" in 1973.
