The statutes of the Order of St. Stephen of Hungary were founded by Maria Theresa in 1764 on the occasion of the coronation of her son as Holy Roman Emperor. The copper engravings depict the founder, the order's insignia, and the members with various degrees (small cross, commander's cross, grand cross).
