Spala 44, on reverse inventory number: 1740, framed in period carved frame with golden patina Literature: Nova encyklopedie ceskeho vytvarneho umeni (New Encyclopaedia of Czech Fine Art), Academia Prague 1999, p. 836, Starting Price: CZK 180,000; USD 5,271;EUR 5,989, Estimated price: (200,000 - 240,000) CZK., The authenticity of the work has been confirmed by Prof. PhDr. Frantisek Dvorak. This painting falls into the period when the painter was leaving behind cubist geometrical shapes and simple shades of red and blue. Among his motifs, pictures of flowers and still lifes with fruit are starting to prevail and colours are enriched by green and yellow.
