Full description

The addressee was Benedek Debrédi, head of the Franciscan monastery in Fülek. He informs him that János Gömrey, his administrator, will proceed with the measurement of the garden donated to them by the late Reformed pastor.
István Koháry of Csábrág and Szitnya distinguished himself as captain of Fülek and later with his military successes against the Turks during the liberation of Buda and Eger. Throughout his career, he remained loyal to the emperor, opposing both Thököly and the Rákóczi War of Independence. In addition to his own poems, he made his mark on Hungarian literary history primarily through his support of István Gyöngyösi.
