Ganz Beschreibung

An exceptionally rare lithographic view of Késmárk Castle. Based on a drawing by József Molnár, it was produced in 1857 in the workshop of Reiffenstein and Rösch in Vienna. In the foreground of the picture are ox carts and women picking vegetables, with the High Tatras mountain range visible in the background. The print was sold separately, but Molnár also included it in his collection entitled Nemzeti Album (National Album), which contained six of the artist’s life and landscape paintings.
