Full description

Béts, 1779. n.p. 378 [recte 386]p. First edition.
This collection of philosophical and literary essays in a Spinozist spirit is one of the foundational works of the Hungarian Enlightenment. Interestingly, from the 19th century onwards several manuscript versions of the work also surfaced. These allow us to clearly trace the evolution of the author’s worldview, which ultimately led him practically to atheism.
Contemporary paper. Uncut.
Szüry: 586., Borda: 603.
