He thanks them for the package received, then writes about family matters, particularly their daughter Eszter. He notes that he has been asked to edit a new edition of Endrődi’s Treasury of Hungarian Poetry, and requests that his father try to obtain two copies of the earlier edition from Debrecen antiquarian bookshops, but only if not too costly. On the final page, short lines written by seven-year-old Eszter to her grandparents are included.
