ATTRIBUTED HEINZ LEINFELLNER* (Zidani Most 1911 - 1974 Vienna)Lying nudeclay, 77 x 36 cmESTIMATE °€ 300 - 600STARTING PRICE °€ 300The sculptor Heinz Leinfellner was born in 1911 in Steinbrück in Lower Styria. From 1916 on he lived with his family in Graz, where he also attended the arts and crafts school from 1930. In 1932 he moved to Vienna, where he continued his education at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna until 1940. There he studied under Anton Hanak and Josef Müllner. He also worked with Fritz Wotruba, whose work had a major influence on Leinfellner's work. In 1947 he was a founding member of the Art-Club. In 1957 he became a lecturer in ceramic sculpture at the Vienna Art Academy and from 1972 a professor. His works were repeatedly presented at national and international exhibitions, including the Venice Biennale in 1954 and at the Documenta in Kassel in 1959.PLEASE NOTE: The purchase price consists of the highest bid plus the buyer's premium, sales tax and, if applicable, the fee of artists resale rights. In the case of normal taxation (marked °), a premium of 24% is added to the highest bid. The mandatory sales tax of 13%, for photographs 20%, is added to the sum of the highest bid and the buyer's premium.
