[Drezda], 1532. [Stöckel]. [16] p. (az utolsó levél üres). Letter of Nicolaus Jurisics, commander of Kőszeg-castle, written in German on 28 August 1532 to emperor Ferdinand I. In his first letter he gives an account of the heroic resistance of the defenders of the Kőszeg-castle during which they managed to hold back the Turks for 22 days. In the second letter written on 30 August, he describes the negotiations between Jurisics and pasha Ibrahim. He stresses how they resisted the calls to give up the castle, and then informs about the withdrawal of the Turkish troops. Stitched, in paper case of later period. Very good copy, rare book.
