[Lyon] Lugduni, 1578. Apud Ioan. Tornaesium [Jean de Tournes]. 184 + [8] p. A collection of the most popular works of the author, illustrated with six inset wooden engravings depicting the lives of the Turks. The popularity of Bartholomaeus Georgievits as writer for more than a decade was due to his long captivity by the Turks. He was captured in the battle of Mohács as member of the entourage of Ladislaus Szalkai. Stitched, early 18th century paper cover, slightly damaged on spine.
