Full description

Single-leaf coloured copper engraving. Part of the series of “substitute prints” produced by the poet in 1829. Though dated 1815, presumably after the conclusion of the Congress of Vienna. Although inscribed below “Berei Farkas metszette Pesten” (engraved in Pest by Berei Farkas), Béla Tóth claimed it was not Berei’s own work but made to his order. According to the caption at the bottom, it was sponsored by Archbishop István Fischer of Eger.
Dimensions: 160 × 100 mm (180 × 110 mm).
