Austrian painter, art educator and graphic artist of the 20th century. Representatives of modernity after 1950 and the figurative painting. Studied at the arts and crafts school with Wilhelm Müller-Hofmann together with Arthur Zelger, Rudolf Korunka and Paul Kurt Schwarz. After the Second World War, very successful as a poster artist and graphic artist. From 1954 to 1976 he taught poster art and illustration at the graphic teaching and experimental institution, among other things, his students were Manfred Deix and Gottfried Helnwein. Dealing with the Austrian Expressionism by Egon Schiele, Oskar Kokoschka and Herbert Boeckl. In addition to portraits and figures, landscapes from the forest and Mühlviertel also created, but also of vacation from Carinthia and Tyrol.
