Franckfurt am Mayn, 1664. In Verlegung Johann Baptist Schön­wetters. Gedruckt bey Matthaeo Kempffern. 1 pl(s). (engraved title page)+(4)+295+(1)p.+6 pl(s). (2 folding).
The folding engravings depict the battles of Szentgotthárd, and between Léva and Garamszentbenedek. Others show views of Pozsony, Buda and Pest, Győr, Szigetvár, Kassa, Komárom, Tokaj, and Fülek.
Contemporary vellum.
Provenance: Ownership inscription “Steph: Wyttniedy” on title page. István Vitnyédi was an important political figure and lawyer, serving Sopron County and later Nádasdy and Miklós Zrínyi. He played a key role in the Wesselényi Conspiracy and owned a notable library of about 550 volumes.
