Móra Ferenc: Könyes könyv
(Szeged, 1920. Délmagyarország Ny.). 141+(3)p. With coloured vignettes of Károly Sebestyén. Limited (1./400), first edition, signed by the illustrator and the author.
A unique copy, which belonged to the notable bibliophile, József Szalay. Regarding his books, he followed the method of Reverend James Granger, the renowned biographer and collector. Thus, his books often rebound with other paper-based items that were somehow connected to the book. In this copy, a portrait of the writer, two poems’ original manuscripts, and some contemporary critics from various papers were bound inside.
Gilt, contemporary leather with painted endpapers. Upper edges gilt. Spine slightly worn.
Poss: With ownership inscription and ex libris of Lajos Borda.
