Vastag, „J. Whatman 1822” jelzésű, kézzel merített papírra nyomtatott luxuspéldány. 52 felragasztott, művészi rézmetszetet tartalmazó, népéletképekből álló sorozat (vásárok, felvonulások, ünnepségek), melyeket a művész Franciaországban, Németországban és Ausztriában tett utazásai során készített. A sorozat Thomas Frognall Dibdin két évvel korábban megjelent művéhez (A Bibliographical, Antiquarian and Picturesque Tour in France and Germany) készült, de ott meg nem jelent rajzokat tartalmazza. A készítő minden rézkarcához angol és francia nyelvű képaláírást vésett. Az előzéklapon ismeretlen kéztől származó, ceruzás, angol nyelvű bejegyzés.

XIX. század végén készült, díszes, dúsan aranyozott gerincű, álbordás fekete egészmaroquin kötésben, a kötéstáblákat szegélyező, aranyozott, négysoros léniadíszítéssel, felül aranyozott lapszélekkel. A kötés az első kötéstábla belső felén szignált: „Bound by Zaehnsdorf”. Dekoratív, gyönyörű példány.
