A szerző bencés szerzetes, Kazinczy barátja volt, a magyar történelem viharos századait elbeszélő költeménye Kováts Tamás pannonhalmi főapát 1829-es beiktatásának alkalmára íródott. A nyelvújítás egyik lelkes híveként Guzmics Izidor adta a Szent Márton-hegyi kolostornak a Pannonhalma nevet.
Szüry 1627.
XIX. század második felében készült, aranyozott gerincű félbőr kötésben, szép példány.
