François Vernes (1765–1834) svájci író prózában írt eposzának első kiadása egy évvel korábban, Lausanne-ban jelent meg. Művében egy olyan kitalált Franciaországot állít fel, amelynek központja a Genfi-tó és környéke. Az allegorikus rézmetszetű címképeket a svéd származású Balthasar Anton Dunker (1746-1807) metszette.
Poss.: Therese Sztáray. [Gróf Sztáray Terézia (1775–1849); Gróf Waldstein Emanuel (1773 – 1829) a kiskorú Károlyi grófok gyámjának felesége volt.]
Cohen–de Ricci 1010.
Egységes, korabeli, díszesen aranyozott gerincű, kopott, kötéstábláin sérült, kissé hiányos egészbőr kötésben, mintás festésű lapszélekkel. Jó példány, nagyon ritka kiadás.
