Kumpf designed the motorway service station in Göttlesbrunn and the thermal baths in Stegersbach, although most of the elements designed by Kumpf were removed during a renovation in 2004. Together with Thomas Brezina he wrote a series of picture books. He has also designed several stamps for the Austrian Post and the United Nations Postal Administration. The elephant sculpture in front of the Natural History Museum in Vienna, which is very popular with children, was also created by Kumpf. In 2005 he designed bronze sculptures of the twelve signs of the zodiac, which had previously been used in a series of telephone cards for the Austrian Post. Gottfried Kumpf was married to the visual artist and librettist Maria Plachky. From 1968, he lived in Breitenbrunn am Neusiedler See, Burgenland.PLEASE NOTE: The purchase price consists of the highest bid plus the buyer's premium, sales tax and, if applicable, the fee of artists resale rights.
