JOHANNES FESSL* (Zwettl 1947 - 1997)Tavern, 1995etching/paper, 20,5 x 12,7 cmsigned Johannes, dated 95numbered 19/95ESTIMATE °€ 100 - 200STARTING PRICE °€ 100Johannes Fessl, who comes from the Waldviertel, studied from 1966 to 1970 at the Higher Graphic Teaching and Research Institute in Vienna. After graduating, he worked as a freelance painter, graphic designer and illustrator. Fessl moved to the Waldviertel in 1983, where he and his wife opened the Atelie Gallery in Wurmbrand near Groß Gerungs. Fessl's techniques included oil painting, oil tempera, tempera, watercolor, drawing, etching and woodcut. His favorite motifs included the Waldviertel and bizarre everyday scenes. After his sudden death, his life's work was continued by his wife and daughter in the Edition Zwettltal gallery.PLEASE NOTE: The purchase price consists of the highest bid plus the buyer's premium, sales tax and, if applicable, the fee of artists resale rights. In the case of normal taxation (marked °), a premium of 24% is added to the highest bid. The mandatory sales tax of 13%, for photographs 20%, is added to the sum of the highest bid and the buyer's premium.
The buyer's premium amounts to 28% in case of differential taxation. The sales tax is included in the differential taxation."
