Full description

Paris, 1925k. Librairie Stock. 148p.
The bookbinder took over Márta Bíró’s workshop in the early 1920s, which remained active until the late 1940s. On June 25, 1924, Esti Kurír reported on the success of the firm’s unique leather bindings exhibited at a graphic art fair. This copy may also have originated from that occasion.
Exclusive, signed leather binding with floral leather intarsia, designed by Olga Radó. The front and rear boards are framed with red leather inlays blind-tooled with stylised plant ornaments, forming a bouquet in the centre of the front board. The inner sides are leather-covered, decorated with similar motifs, the central field on the inside covered with red leather and black floral inlays. The French-style endpapers feature black moiré silk.
