The genre painter Franz Schaden from Erdberg in southern Moravia worked in Vienna from 1929 to 1938, from where he was deregistered on November 3, 1938 to Jeslowitz near Znojmo, Moravia. In 1929 he exhibited the painting "Erscheinung" (Apparition) at the art community's anniversary exhibition in Vienna. In 1925, Schaden was named as a member of the Vienna Art Community.
