A genuine literary relic, authored by one of the poet’s closest friends and later his most authoritative biographer. After a falling out in 1914, they reconciled shortly before Ady’s death, with Földessy being his final visitor at the Liget Sanatorium. The lines, imbued with profound empathy, radiate both love for the deceased and sincere solidarity with the parents’ grief. By praising the human and poetic greatness of his old friend, he seeks to offer comfort in their sorrow.
