Posonyban és Kassán, 1777. Landerer Mihály. (20)+223p.+V folding pl(s).+172p.+II folding pl(s). (engravings)
The author, a Jesuit monk, was also a significant literary figure. This groundbreaking work marks a milestone in the history of physics in Hungary – the first physics book in Hungarian.
Signed, red leather, with black title on spine. The front cover with a cubist-inspired leather inlay depicting Newton studying refraction, the back with the motif with which his name became popularly associated: an apple. In hardpaper case.
Dimensions: 210 × 140 mm.
