A regék szerzője Seid Moklez perzsa dervis (élt 1675 körül), franciára Francois Pétis de la Croix orientalista fordította, ebből magyarította Deáki Filep Sámuel. Ez a kiadás egykorú a híres Vörösmarty-féle Ezeregyéj-jel. (Staud: Orientalizmus a magyar romantikában)
Két kötetbe kötve, feliratos gerincű, későbbi félvászon kötésben, az eredeti papírborítók belekötve, jó állapotban.
