Full description

Debreczen, 1899. Hoffmann és Kronovitz. VII+68p. First edition.
The poet's first published collection of poems. Inscribed by the mother of the author: „Rozsnyay Kálmánnak drága Bandim kedves barátjának Ady Lőrinczné Érmindszent 1922 XI/12.”
Rozsnyay (pen name Sydney Carton) was a friend and admirer of Ady. In the 1920s, he dedicated a special Ady room in his home in Verőce to the memory of the poet, where he kept, among other things, copies of all of Ady's volumes dedicated to him (this later became the basis of the collection of the Ady Endre Memorial Museum in Nagyvárad). It is therefore not surprising that he visited the author's parents to express his condolences, albeit somewhat belatedly. Presumably, this volume also enriched the aforementioned mini-museum.
Contemporary hardpaper.
