Contains 167 emblematic woodcuts, and in the appendix, reproductions of 46 selected items of the author s medal collection. Contemporary coloured copperplate ex libris is glued on the inner endpage of our volume: „ Ex Bibliotheca Nobilis et doctissimi Ioannis Sambuci, Imperatoriae Mats. Historici”. Late 17th century leather binding, slightly worn gilt on the spine, painted page edges. Very rare book.
