„Das Armee Corps Sr. Durchlaucht des Fürsten Windischgrätz hat den 15. Dec. Abends 8 Uhr seine Vorrückung gegen Ungarn begonnen. […] Die Folge dieses siegreichen Gefechtes war die Besetzung von Oedenburg durch die k.k. Truppen.”
A képen az 1848. december 16-án Sréter Lajos és Petrichevich-Horváth János császári ezredes csapatai között Vulkapordány [ma: Wulkaprodersdorf, Burgenland] mellett lezajlott ütközet egy jelenete látható. A császári-királyi hadsereg kőnyomatos hadijelentései (a képek alatt a hadiesemények leírásával) az osztrák főváros lakosságának tájékoztatására készültek. A Johann Höfelich által kiadott lapok általában az osztrákok számára kedvező kimenetelű csatákról számoltak be, kissé részrehajló szöveggel. A képeken a magyarokat karikírozva ábrázolják.
Kifogástalan állapotú, szép példány, paszpartuban.
