[.. .] Written in French by a Jesuit of Paris. Translated by E. Chambers. The seventh edition. To which is prefixed, the Theory of Perspective, by James Hodgson.

(rézmetszet, ebből 74 a lap mindkét oldalára nyomott, 1-150-ig számozott). Jean Dubreuil (1602-1670) francia jezsuita építész által kidolgozott "gyakorlati perspektíva" alapvetése. Első alkalommal 1642-ben jelent meg franciául. A képzőművészet minden ágára kiterjedő, meglehetősen gyakorlatias ábrázolási eljárás különösen Angliában nyert teret és még a XVIII. század folyamán is népszerű maradt. Bár a "jezsuita módszer" később vesztett jelentőségéből, virágzása a művészettörténet egyik fontos fejezetét alkotja. A címlap alsó sarkán kisebb javítás. Fowler 110. De Backer-S. II, 146. XX századi, díszesen aranyozott gerincű, korabeli stílusban készült félbőr kötésben, jó példány.
