Zsolnay Historical Vase with Lid
Porcelain faience cast, with patinated and gold plated bronze mount. Amphora shape vase body raised on four stylized supports on bronze base with plastic and pierced elements. Three devil head shape handles on the side, winged putt is holding a rose in his hand on detachable lid. Color painted Eastern floral adornment on surface. Gilding on the bronze worn, tiny mapcrack on lid. Signed on the bottom: pressed 1636 form number and factory mark and blue stamped family mark, and the paper etiquette of the Ernst Wahliss, Wien distributing company in Vienna Zsolnay, Pécs, 1885-87. Height: 57.5 cm
