Pair of Zsolnay Art Deco Vases
Wheel-thrown white ceramic. Among contour lines, art deco motifs with songbirds painted with high-fire, coloured glazes. Smaller restorations on mouth rim, one map-cracked. Decoration design: Tádé Sikorski, around 1910. Marked on bottom: 7804 (form number, year 1906) pressed in clay; round, embossed stamp-like branding in the same colour as the coating. Zsolnay, Pécs, around 1910. H.: 29.5 cm
