A coccejanizmus a református teológiát megújító reformirányzat. Johannes Koch (1603-1669) német teológusról kapta nevét. A Bibliát tekintették minden tudás tárházának, ezért alapos, mindenre kiterjedő magyarázatokkal látták el. Aszkézist és lelki alapokon nyugvó, mély, egyéni vallásosságot hirdettek. Hollandiában számos egyetemen tanítottak coccejánus tanárok, ők voltak a nagy számban odalátogató magyar peregrinus diákok mesterei.
