Mint a Szót. Biz. előadója, igen tisztelt kartársának ír, mellékelve Dugonics művét - Trója veszedelme – az Utasítások szerinti földolgozásra. Zolnait 1898-ban az MTA szótári bizottsága megbízta egy nagyszótár általános tervének elkészítésével és szerkesztésével, amelynek gyűjtőmunkáit 1906-ig vezette. A levélben is erről van szó. Jó állapotban.
