[A szerző 14 évesen elveszítette jobb karját, de így is kiváló zongorista lett, Liszttel Ferenccel is koncertezett. Emellett a Nemzeti Zenede elnöke, a Nemzeti Színház és az Operaház intendánsa, mecénás. Fenti művének alapja a Selmeczbányai Levéltárban talált XVI. századbeli okirat, melyet „költői beszélyben” dolgozott fel.]
