Chronicle of the struggle for the Hungarian throne between János Szapolyai and Ferdinand I. Zermegh, a Slavonian nobleman, began as a supporter of Szapolyai, later joined the Habsburg party, served as secretary to Chief Justice Elek Thurzó, and held office at the chamber in Pozsony.
Contemporary vellum.
Provenance: Ownership inscription “Steph: Wyttniedy” on title page (see lot 117 for details).
Apponyi: 860., RMK III 2157.
