A hazánkban meglehetősen ismeretlen Robert Willan (1757– 1812.) az angol bőrgyógyászat megteremtője volt. Gutherie is kedvező véleménnyel volt róla. A himlőoltás élharcosa volt, akinek a himlőről megjelent könyvét maga Jenner is nagyra értékelte. A bőrgyógyászati betegségekről és azok kezeléséről írt gazdagon illusztrált könyvének első német fordítása ez a mű, rendkívül értékes, igazán ínyenceknek való orvostörténelmi ritkaság. A két kötet egységes papírkötésben, kopottas példány.
