VLADIMIR BOUDNIK 1924 Prague - 1968 Prague From the Cycle Rorschach's Test
1967, structural graphic, 45 x 49,2 cm, signed lower middle Vladimir Boudnik 1967, not framed Literature: Hana Larvova a kol., Vladimir Boudnik 1924-1968, catalogue of Capital of Prague Gallery, August - October 1992, Starting Price: CZK 24.000; USD 703; EUR 799, Estimated price: (26.000 - 30.000) CZK., The Free set of Variations on Rorschach Tests dates back to the second half of the sixties( the topmost artistic and unfortunately the closing period of Boudnik´s life. The Variations were inspired by irregular stains of the tests that he knew form collaboration with psychiatrists. Through these Variations he introduced a new element into his graphics - symetry. The dominant organic shape in the middle is divided into more or less identical halves by an axis made by folding and printing the paste-board plate with piled up material. The shape and dark colour of these graphics have a very disquieting and depressive effect. They seem to be expression of unthought and hidden depth of human unconscious.
