Vereby Soma: Magyar mágnások életrajzi s arczképcsarnoka. I-V. évfolyam [bound together].
Pest, 1860-1864. Wodianer F. ny. - Kertész József ny. - Noséda Gyula ny. (6)+18p.+7pl(s).+24p.+6pl(s).+26p.+6pl(s).+24p.+6pl(s).+24p.+6pl(s).
The lithographic portraits in the series, which served to popularize the Hungarian aristocracy and simultaneously the cause of the compromise, were created by Barabás, Marastoni, Kriehuber, and others. The dedication is addressed to Palatine József, whose portrait is the first. In addition to the other images, biographies of the personalities can be read. The most significant figures (without claiming to be complete) include Count István Széchenyi, Count György Andrássy, Baron Zsigmond Kemény, Count Imre Mikó, Count László Teleki, Baron József Eötvös, and Prince Pál Esterházy. A total of thirteen pieces from the series were published.
Contemporary half cloth. Spine replaced. Some leaves and plates slightly stained.
