Szegeden, 1807. Grünn Orbán ny. (6)+87+(12)p. With woodcut view of Szeged at the top of the recto of leaf 4.
Vedres was chief engineer of Szeged, but also engaged in literature and built a significant library. In this work he argued for the establishment of a national investment fund. Two years later it was also published in Latin. On the leaf bound after the title page, a remarkable dedication: “A Szarvasi Evangelika Ekklésia Lelki Pásztorának, Tiszteletes ’s Nagy Érdemű Tessedik Samuel Úrnak mint különös jó baráttyának illendő tisztelettel ajánlja ma a Szerző Vedres István Földmérő” (To the Pastor of the Evangelical Church of Szarvas, the Honourable and Meritorious Samuel Tessedik, as his special good friend, respectfully dedicated today by the author, István Vedres, Surveyor).
Signed, red leather with black title on spine. The covers decorated with leather inlays depicting the view of Szeged. In hardpaper case.
