In their dynamic motionlessness the pieces of the series ’Hexa’ capture the momentary qualities of natural and biological processes. Hexagons make up crosslinkings, they’re interconnected. The hexagon shaped rods, orgnized like basalt organs form separate islands. The sculptures can be placed next to each other as modules to build a constantly expandable structure. The inner space created by the colours, appears as a distorted image through the lens, evoking a microscopic world. The lens bring about a deconstruction process, generating an interesting continuous variable in the geometric sculpture.
