The building, built in 1953 based on a design by Leon Stijnen, stands on the same site where the first casino was built in 1875. The previous building was completely destroyed during the Second World War. The large, spectacular modernist-style casino is the largest casino in Belgium. A special eye-catcher is the gaming room with the murals by Paul Delvaux. In addition to the casino, the building houses three restaurants, a bar and various exhibition, meeting and event halls that are home to Ostend's cultural life.PLEASE NOTE: The purchase price consists of the highest bid plus the buyer's premium, sales tax and, if applicable, the fee of artists resale rights. In the case of normal taxation (marked °), a premium of 24% is added to the highest bid. The mandatory sales tax of 13%, for photographs 20%, is added to the sum of the highest bid and the buyer's premium.
