Nach der beträchtlich vermehrten sechsten Originalausgabe aus dem Französischen übersetzt... Johann Christian Kerstens.
Leipzig, 1784. F. G. Jacobäer und Sohn. 260 l. 185 mm.
Tissot (1728–1797, svájci katolikus neurológus, gyakorló orvos Lausanne városában, egyetemi tanár és a Vatikán tanácsadó orvosa.) híres munkája az 1760-ben megjelent L'Onanisme, a maszturbáció állítólagos rossz hatásait elemző átfogó orvosi értekezése .Szerinte ennek mellékhatásai: köszvény és reuma, idegrendszeri zavarok, fejfájás, homályos látás, memóriacsökkenés...
Tanulmánya nagy filozófusokra is hatott (Voltaire, Kant), évszázados rögeszmévé vált, hogy ez egy súlyos betegség...
Korabeli, aranyozott gerincű félbőr-kötésben, a gerincén kisebb sérülésekkel.
