Thomas James Cobden-Sanderson könyvművész, a viktoriánus kor egyik legnevesebb könyvkötője 1893-ban alapította meg műhelyét The Doves Bindery néven. Az Arts and Crafts mozgalommal és a Kelmscot Press-szel szoros kapcsolatban álló műhely mintegy 30 éves munkássága során 828, egyenként is jegyzett könyvkötést alkotott. Monográfiánk a műhely történetének egész oldalas és szövegközi fényképekkel rendkívül gazdagon díszített albuma. A katalógus a 828 kötés részletes könyvészeti leírása után külön kiemel 127 remeket, amelyről még több részletet tesz közzé, minden darabról külön, oldalszámozáson belüli egész oldalas illusztrációval.
Aranyozott gerincű, kiadói egészvászon kötésben (Hunter & Foulis Ltd., Edinburgh). Szép példány.
