Representative of exile art. Studied at the Academy of Fine Arts with Rudolf Bacher. Study trips to Italy, Yugoslavia, Russia, Switzerland, France and Portugal. Acquaintance with Romain Rolland. Fondness for the poet Walt Whitman and the novelist Otto Flake. Exhibited regularly in the Hagenbund. In 1938 he emigrated to Grenoble in France, and in Paris in 1939 he met Willy Eisenschitz and Georg Merkel. 1941 emigration to the USA, 1947 return to Vienna. 1984 exhibition in the Austrian Gallery Belvedere, 1988 exhibition in the Vienna Museum. Mainly created landscapes, including pastels with impressive mountain scenes and mountain landscapes from the Valais Alps.PLEASE NOTE: The purchase price consists of the highest bid plus the buyer's premium, sales tax and, if applicable, the fee of artists resale rights.
