Fejezetekre bontva tárgyalja korának angol, német, francia, osztrák, magyar, svéd és amerikai könyvművészetét. Címlapok, illusztrációk (részben színes) valamint könyvkötések reprodukcióival rendkívül gazdagon illusztrált. Díszes, dúsan aranyozott, álbordás, későbbi, art deco stílusú fekete egészmaroquin kötésben, aranyozott lapszélekkel, eredeti kartontokban, az eredeti borítók bekötve. A kötés szignált: "Eric Heijer, 1937." Gyönyörű példány.
