Cast, patinated bronze. White Tara, the seven-eyed goddess of mercy and benevolence in dhjanasana pose sitting on double lotus throne. Her right hand in varada, her left in prithvi mudra. She holds lotus branches in her hands: the open lotus symbolizes the Buddhas of the present age, while the bum refers to the Buddhas of ages to come. Lock-plate missing. China, 1st half of 20th century H.: 16.5 cm
