A XVIII. század rendszerező művei sorát Bél Mátyás kezdte el megyei monográfiáinak megjelentetésével. E munka során rendkívül sok történelmi forrást is feltárt, amely egy másik vállalkozást is megindított. Ezt részben átengedte tanítványának, gróf Johann Georg Schwandtner osztrák történetírónak. A 3 impozáns kötet, melyhez Bél Mátyás előszót írt, közel félszáz forrásértékű szöveget közöl teljes terjedelmében.
Korabeli aranyozott egészbőr kötésben, kis kopással
